The band threw open its practice hall doors this autumn for an open night, giving newcomers of all ages a first go on the practice chanter and drum pad alongside the existing pipers and drummers.
Turnout was strong, with several new learners signing up on the night and more getting in touch since. Beginners move up into the band at their own pace once they're ready, with no audition required.
Anyone who missed this one and wants to get involved can get in touch any time through the Contact page — the band is always looking for new pipers, drummers and learners.
